The Marcia Davis Memorial Fund was set up in 2018 to remember longtime Knox News Sentinel bird column writer Marcia Davis. Grants of approximately $500 are given out each year to projects involving bird education. Recipients so far in 2019 have been a college graduate student doing research on Cerulean Warblers and the Seven Islands State Birding Park birder information bulletin board.
